Looking to boost my shoulder strength and add in some mobility work in a fun and easy way, I tried the challenge from the video below: do a bear walk for 1 minute a day for a week.
My daughter had just started crawling. I did a bear walk down the hall and she shrieked with delight. We played chase. And it was so much fun.
After that I added in other movements. Sticking with GMB’s 4 foundational moves: bear, frogger, monkey, and crab. Adding in variations and stringing them together as I felt like it.
I also checked a little deeper into the rabbit hole into exercises that are a little more on the serious side of primal movement advocates.
There are many people all in on this stuff as a full body mobility and strengthening workout.
I really liked the progression this guy made:
I’m not inspired to make my own animal flow video with my progress. But it has all been very helpful.
