Grip strength is the best indicator of overall strength.
When I first found that out, my initial reaction was to buy some clamps on Amazon and get to squeezing in all my free time.
But after thinking about it for awhile… I’m sure that grip strength is a byproduct of being stronger.
May be predictive, but not causal.
I wouldn’t… [example of one way causation??]
That being said, grip strength is one of the most fundamental needs for a large portion of calisthenics. Definitely any of the pulling maneuvers.
